I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
